Are Reality Show Women A Reflection of Society?

Listen to the show here!
Actor, Brian White, recently got into a lot of hot water about a statement he made. “You can’t call it a stereotype if it’s the majority. The most prevalent image in “urban society” right now is women like Nene [Leakes].”

Fair or foul? The most popular non-singing/rapping “celebs” in the black communities now are reality stars, aren’t they? I’ve seen an episode of Basketball Wives shut Twitter down on many occasions, so is Brian White wrong?

We’ll discuss it on #T2Q as I am joined by J.R. the Bossman of The Bossman Show!

  1. Probably quite a few, V. Brian White argues that reality shows are actually a reflection of real life women which is a scarier concept. But, is it true? Thanks for commenting! I hope you listen to tomorrow's show!

  2. Sadly I think all caricatures of women as created by non-reality show producers are a serious detriment to femininity. Any woman who has any self respect would never want to be portrayed as a psycho backstabbing idiot with fake hair, fake tits, fake lips, and done up like a drag queen on performance night. I hate these shows, and honestly believe the only way they will go away is when someone gets killed for acting the fool on them.

  3. Sweety Darlin, I think you said it best. No one with self-respect would want to be on a show like that in the first place. Money will make people without integrity bare their souls to get paid. I wish these shows would go away, but too many people love them. Thanks for your comment and I hope that you listen tonight!
