Light skin. Dark skin. It’s been a battle for a long time. An unnecessary battle. What’s the big deal? Why do people of the same race treat one shade of skin different than the other? Are light-skinned women conceited? Are dark-skinned women angry? Are light-skinned guys weak? Are dark-skinned guys criminal? We’ll dismiss the stereotypes and make an effort to put an end to the lunacy.

People love referring to “Carlton’s” character from “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” or Wayne Brady as being the “least black” black people on the planet. What is “not black enough?” What is “acting white?” Why do people of the same race has issues with skin tone?

Ever been minding your own business and run into an ex? How do you respond when you see a blast from the past?

What do you do if your ex starts dating one of your friends?

All of this and a sports topic to be named later on #T2Q!

Show #139>

  1. So as a pasty white girl that only tans with a can when required to be in public a lot I have to say that other white girls make fun of the fact that I shy away from the sun. Of course I am 37 and most people think I am much younger. I say I haven't aged my skin in the sun therefore when I am old and feeble no one will know because I won't look like my leather jacket. So it isn't just in the black community that skin tone has a stigma. As for ex's I have been lucky pretty much to never have either situation happen. Other than the ex husband and that is a totally different pile of dog poopy!

  2. That is so interesting! That's what I love about my show and my blog: I enjoy hearing things from other people's perspective! Never would I have thought about pasty white/tan controversy! I will definitely mention it on the show. Once again, thanks for the insight!
