On this podcast, I go Q-on-1 with the owner of the Right to Real Love Podcast, Jay Mayo! He joins me to discuss “How to Build A Man.” A man is comprised of six parts: he has to be a visionary, leader, teacher, cultivator, provider, and protector. Why is there not a focus on turning boys into men these days?

Is it due to distractions like cars, clothes, and easy access to sex? Is it a lack of interest in being a parent? What exactly is it?

Jay gives his two cents on what the solution is to the figure out how we can refocus our communities on raising our sons. That insight and more on this special podcast edition of the Talk 2 Q Radio Show! “No experts. Just opinions.”

Is Greed A Religion?

Tue., Jul. 15th @ 10 PM EDT

Stream the show here

Churches are getting bigger and bigger each and every year. Some churches are so big that they have congregations the size of college football games. The sermon has to be shown on big screens because the venues are too big for everyone to see. There are countless verses in the King James Version of the Bible that frowns against “the love of money.” So, are many of the leaders of these churches across the country not qualified to teach the Word based on their rich lifestyles?

There are preachers in Rolls Royces, personal helicopters, and more. Yet they talk every Sunday about how humble Jesus was. Can you risk exposing your soul to someone who lives contradictory to what he/she is teaching?

Also on the show, open carry gun laws allow people to strap on a holster a la Clint Eastwood and parade around town like a cowboy. How comfortable are you with that? Would you eat at restaurants or be a patron at a business that allows people to carry guns freely in the establishment?

Will the Hobby Lobby case open the door for others to use religion as a defense?

Sun., Jul. 6th @ 10 PM EDT

Yep, this show does exactly that. Hypothetically, of course! Tonight, the Show Legends and I will tackle some controversial laws and rewrite them (to the best of our abilities) to make it fair for everyone.

Of course our opinions probably will not synchronize to a harmonious understanding, but it should be fun and insightful to kick around some ideas. Here are some of the topics we’ll be discussing:

  • Men having more birth rights to their children.
  • Overhauling the child support laws.
  • Fixing how the government views birth control for women..

Mental health goes untreated in some many cultures when it’s not necessary for that to happen. Services now are more available and affordable than ever and it’s time that the discussion is had.

Also on the show, we’ll discuss a preacher who got kicked out of his church for being into rap and a kid who had his name “Messiah” overturned into court by a judge to “Martin.”

Can the devil really make you do it? Is there a little, red man who makes us do naughty things?

Well, regardless if you believe in it or not, people will place the blame there. Is that deflecting blame by doing so?

Also on the show, things that parents of biracial kids should know!  These tips may help with the approach to raising your kids.  Too many biracial families have ideas in their head on how they want things to turn out with their kids, but we have to inject reality here.

What should be an interesting conversation on the show will be discussing abortion contracts.  Could that change the world of sports and celebrities in regards to child support if contracts are signed to force abortions?

Gay Rights vs. (Black) Civil Rights #LGBT

Is it wrong to be indifferent about if gays or blacks getting rights? Is it a “you’re either for us or against us mentality?” We’ll discuss that as well as comparisons to blacks getting their civil rights in the 60’s to what gays are trying to do now.

Also on the list of topics to discuss will be sibling rivalries. It’s understandable when it comes to children, but what happens when it occurs with adults? What can make a grown person so upset that they do not even want to deal with their brother/sister?

We’ll also discuss how it’s cool to be stupid in the U.S. We place more emphasis on foolishness than any other country. Should parenting classes be mandatory in high school?

Lastly, there will be a political discussion given that local elections for Mayor is going on here.

You Marry Their Family

Air date: Tuesday, Feb. 19th @ 10 PM EST / 7 PM PST

When you marry someone, you marry their family, too. It’s a package deal. So many happy couples turn unhappy because of troublesome in-laws. Over the years, I’ve met some people who have had bad situations, yet they chose to “ride out the storm.” Almost all of them ended up separated, divorced, or stuck in a volatile marriage.

You may think that you’re marrying the person and not their family, but that’s not the case. Unless it’s a situation where you live far away from that family and have little contact, you could be subjecting yourself to inherited drama.

We’ll discuss that and also if churches should be taxed to reduce the national debt.  The churches rake in an enormous amount of money which doesn’t go back to the government.  Since churches tend to “play politics,” should that make them eligible to pay into the system?

How long should you hold a grudge against someone?  At what point should you forgive them for wronging you?  What if what was done to you was physical?

We’ll go over some fundamental dating tips and more!  When all else fails, it’s back to basics, right?
